The International Sugar Cane and Alcohol Trade Fair was held in Anhembi events center in São Paulo between 7th and 10th November. It was the last major event of 2005 for the sector.
Valtra was present at the event with a stand area showing tractors (BH180, BM110 and BL88) and had a special area devotted to NavSat products with automatic steering and the GTA console for record keeping which has attracted clients, professors and researches. One of the main topics of discussion on the stand was the results and cost reductions provided by NavSat automatic steering on tractors at Usina Catanduva.
The sugar cane sector directly employs over 3 million workers, has a direct influence on another 300 sectors of the Brazilian economy, and is growing every year - investments in the sector are expected to rise to around U$ 5 billion on new mills by 2010, which will be a great opportunity for the introduction of new technologies on Valtra’s products.
Also at Feisucro Valtra was showing the Biodiesel Brazil Project that has been a pioneer in the development of tractors and agriculture.
